Unlike conventional flat or vertical-mounted workpiece clamps, our toggle clamp is designed for side mounting. With a total height of approximately 71mm, a 37mm U-hook length, and adjustable horizontal distance of 0-30mm, this clamp stands out. It features a 14mm diameter black rubber head and offers vertical height adjustment of around 0-30mm. For precise dimensions, please refer to our technical drawing. This side-mounted clamp is tailored for specific designs and is commonly used in woodworking, mold making, and other industries where manual clamping is required.

How to use a manual toggle clamp

Manual toggle clamps are relatively simple to use. Here are the general steps to use a manual toggle clamp:

1. **Mounting**: First, securely mount the toggle clamp to a stable surface such as a workbench or fixture using appropriate fasteners. Ensure that the clamp is properly aligned and positioned for the intended application.

2. **Adjustment**: If your toggle clamp has adjustable features, such as horizontal distance or vertical height adjustment, set these according to your specific requirements. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for adjusting the clamp to ensure proper functionality.

3. **Positioning**: Position the workpiece to be clamped between the clamping arms or pads of the toggle clamp. Make sure the workpiece is properly aligned and centered within the clamping area to ensure a secure hold.

4. **Clamping**: To activate the toggle clamp, typically, you need to manually operate the handle or lever to move the clamping arm into position against the workpiece. Apply enough pressure to securely hold the workpiece in place, but be careful not to over-tighten, which could damage the workpiece or the clamp itself.

5. **Release**: To release the clamp and remove the workpiece, simply release the handle or lever to disengage the clamping arm from the workpiece. Carefully remove the workpiece from the clamping area.

6. **Maintenance**: Regularly inspect the toggle clamp for any signs of wear or damage. Keep the clamp clean and lubricated as needed to ensure smooth operation and prolong its lifespan.

By following these steps and any specific instructions provided by the manufacturer, you can effectively use manual toggle clamps for a variety of clamping applications in woodworking, metalworking, fabrication, and other industries.
